Yariv Cohen is on a mission to alleviate poverty and transform lives by bringing sustainable energy solutions to underserved communities. As the co-founder and CEO of Ignite Energy Access, he has been at the forefront of revolutionizing the off-grid energy sector since 2014.
Ignite Energy Access has delivered solar-powered solutions to millions across Africa, disrupting the sector and doubling the total addressable market for solar home systems. Recognized globally for its impact, Ignite has won accolades such as the Zayed Sustainability Prize, the Innovator of the Year Award (Rwanda Development Board), and the Frost & Sullivan Customer Value Leadership Award.
Ignite is operating in 14 countries across sub-Saharan Africa, bringing solar home systems, solar irrigation, solar-based internet, hybrid inverters, and C&I projects.
Before founding Ignite, Cohen served as President of Camco Clean Energy. His career spans two decades as a serial entrepreneur, impact investor, and thought leader, working with global corporations, governments, and multilateral organizations to advance climate and energy solutions.
