Sanuj Kohli

Sanuj Kohli is a serial entrepreneur who spends his time between Nairobi and Dubai. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Laser and Electronics Middle East Group, which has a wide portfolio of diverse businesses under its umbrella. Sanuj begun his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 19, where he signed the exclusive distribution for a public listed company (LPKF Laser and Electronics AG), which specializes in the manufacturing of printed circuit board machinery used mainly for research and development purposes in the electronics industry.

In 2009, Sanuj co-founded WaterWise Car Washing, the Middle East’s first waterless car washing company, cleaning cars without water. Having activated the services across the MENA region, he is soon to launch WaterWise in East Africa.

By 2011, he founded LEME Lighting, focused on providing complete turnkey lighting solutions from design and supply to implementation for both indoor and outdoor lighting. The lighting division expanded to include offices in United Kingdom and Kenya under LED Lightings Kenya, which has been at the forefront of several major projects across East Africa.

In 2014, Sanuj established LEME Signage and LEME Media, an external signage and digital media screen company for advertising and façade application, and installed East Africa’s first transparent screen in Nairobi. In 2015, he founded LEME Trading to supply jute sacks to commodity traders and governments in West Africa. In 2018, Kenya’s first male grooming concept, The Refinery, was established.

As CEO, Sanuj’s role is to oversee the Group’s global sales and financial operations, and develop its corporate strategy in line with its ambitious growth plans in the Middle East and Africa region.

Sanuj graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management and human resources from Keele University in England, which set a strong foundation for his career path as an entrepreneur.
