Luis Miguel Cuenca

After graduating from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Luis Miguel Cuenca jumped right into advertising as a copywriter for 15 years for several agencies, including DDB, Grey and Ogilvy/141, the latter of which he co-managed. He worked with such well-known brands as VW, Chrysler, Gatorade and Gillette. When Cuenca moved to the U.S. 15 years ago, he became a project manager working for brands such as Hyundai, AT&T, Southwest Airlines and Gatorade. Eventually, Cuenca realized his true passion was as a creative director where he applied the insights gained as a project manager to his work with RAM, The Home Depot, MetroPCS, Bridgestone and Wal-Mart, among others. His goal is to raise the bar on Hispanic marketing by helping his clients’ brands connect more successfully with the Hispanic consumer through relevant, engaging and powerful communication. An avid reader, when Cuenca isn’t working, he enjoys writing screenplays and playing golf.
