Jo Burston

CEO, Inspiring Rare Birds, Australia/New Zealand

Jo Burston leads Inspiring Rare Birds to create, support and promote diverse and inclusive workplaces, where opportunities in entrepreneurship and leadership exist for everyone. Currently, close to 300 female entrepreneurs are being mentored by CEOs, leaders, experts and serial entrepreneurs, with the program impacting the businesses of 2,695 people to date. Congratulations Jo for being selected as the YPO Global Impact Regional Honoree for Australia/New Zealand.

She is also the Co-founder and Director of Startup Business, which runs entrepreneurial learning programs in secondary schools across Australia. To date, more than 600 children from 40 schools have been through the highly engaging course where students learn to think, see, be, and do, like an entrepreneur by creating and pitching their own business and connecting with local business community mentors. Young entrepreneur graduates receive a micro-credential that can be credited as a unit of study in a Business Cert III course with Business College International House. Launched in March 2021, the program will also be available online to all budding entrepreneurs globally.
