Sean Magennis

Sean Magennis is the Chief Executive Officer of Capital 54, a Family Office dedicated to the Professional Services sector. He also Chairs two portfolio companies: Lumini Network and Collective 54. He contributes 30 years of experience to business leaders in growing professional services business domestically and globally through growth strategies, turnarounds, acquisitions and financings.

Prior to Capital 54, Magennis was the Global President and COO of YPO. He began his business career in management at Dow Chemicals Ltd and ran his own professional services firm for 14 years focused on organizational development consulting, people assessment and executive search. He has experience with real estate platforms, electricity infrastructure development and financial services.

Magennis is the past International Chairman of the Entrepreneurs Organization, (EO). He played a key role in EO’s North American and global expansion for over 16 years. He helped open chapters in Europe, Russia, South Africa and the Far East and, with the support and approval of YPO, launched YPO Forum within EO. He is an active member of the YPO Gold Dallas Chapter and a past Chapter Chair. As a YPO volunteer, Magennis served the Western Region as Membership Chair and Learning Chair, he chaired two international Global Leadership Conferences, Singapore in 2012 and Istanbul in 2013, and he served on the Learning Committee responsible for chapter officer education.

Magennis has a Bachelor of Art’s degree from Rhodes University in South Africa. He is a graduate of the Stagen Leadership Institute in Dallas. He served as a non-commissioned Infantry officer in the South African Defense Force.
