Summary
Rodrigo Baggio, President and Founder of Recode, has been named the 2020 YPO Global Impact Award winner. Baggio created Recode 25 years ago to fight the digital divide. Recode creates and disseminates entrepreneurship training and provides digital tools to support youth in low income communities.

Over the past 25 years, Recode has established a presence in nine countries with 1,150 centers of digital empowerment, in collaboration with more than 2,500 educators and impacting 1.7 million young individuals (14 to 29 years old) worldwide.

The YPO Global Impact Award is YPO’s highest honor for members that recognizes their impact outside of YPO, celebrating impact that is both sustainable and scalable. More than 200 YPO members were nominated for this year’s award by their peers. An honoree was selected from each of YPO’s 14 regions with Baggio being the honoree for the Latin America Region.

“Rodrigo is an outstanding leader who has had amazing impact on the lives of millions of young people. He is an inspiration to his fellow YPO members and our global community,” says Pascal Gerken, Chair of the YPO Global Impact Award program and 2018-2019 YPO Chairman.
