Xavier Mufraggi

Xavier became CEO of YPO in December 2020. He is a dynamic professional with a strong background in strategic marketing and recognized for his operational leadership, talent development, and digital and operational transformations. He easily identifies global trends as they emerge, recognizing their impact on an organization and identifying new opportunities for global growth.

Xavier began his career with a seven-year stint with Kraft Foods in marketing, commercial and product development. Xavier then joined Club Med as the Marketing and Digital Director and after just three years with the company, was promoted to CEO of Club Med North America overseeing 3,000 employees from 15 countries. His most recent position was CEO of Club Med Europe Middle East Africa markets, a region delivering $1.3B revenue per year which accounts for 70% of Club Med worldwide revenue.

During Xavier’s time at Club Med, he successfully repositioned the organization as an upscale family vacation and is credited with the turnaround of the American region which had been unprofitable since 2001. While leading at Club Med, the company achieved historic records every year from 2011 to 2019, thanks to increasing team engagement and digital transformation at the level of top 10% companies. He implemented bold initiatives including change, dare, agility, and active lifestyle that were embraced in his resorts and offices. He believes that the office, like our home, should be a safe, non-judgmental and positive place where employees can be authentic, comfortable in their diversity, and able to achieve their full potential and purpose. Xavier was also active in creating new sustainable tourist destinations (public/private) such as the eco-chic Club Med Michès at Playa Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic.

A graduate of EDHEC, one of the top business programs in Europe, Xavier holds a master’s degree in business management. He is also a member of the board of MUFRAGGI, a construction tools and materials family business created by his grandfather.

Xavier has had the opportunity to live in Europe, Africa and the United States. He now resides in Dallas with his British wife and Miami-born daughters where he actively trains and participates in triathlons and is an Ironman finisher.
