— Today, theBoardlist, a curated talent marketplace that connects female leaders with company board opportunities, and YPO, the premier global leadership organization for chief executives, announced a strategic partnership created to continue to improve gender diversity in the boardroom. Through this unique partnership, YPO members seeking to diversify their boards will be able to utilize theBoardlist’s proprietary database, to discover and engage with a pre-vetted group of highly board qualified female executives.

Additionally, YPO business leaders will be encouraged to refer and endorse potential female board candidates from their well-established personal networks to theBoardlist’s esteemed database. YPO CEOs will also be able to utilize theBoardlist’s many other resources including proprietary research and, for YPO’s female members who are interested, they will now have streamlined access to joining theBoardlist’s network.

“YPO’s partnership is key in propelling the conversation regarding women at the highest echelons of business,” said Shannon Gordon, CEO of theBoardlist. “We are excited to welcome their community of top-tier business leaders to theBoardlist and honored to share further board readiness education and access to board opportunities.”

“Diversity among leadership leads to better ideas and higher performance,” said Scott Mordell, Chief Executive Officer, YPO. “This important collaboration with theBoardlist will enable YPO members to find extraordinary talent that can improve their organizations and the impact beyond their boardrooms.”

The lack of women on boards had been attributed to the difficulty in discovering highly qualified and endorsed candidates for private and public boards at every stage. Since its founding in 2015, theBoardlist remains a key resource for talent discovery of board-ready women, solving the “pipeline” issue that has plagued boardrooms.
