YPO member Monica Balli was born and raised in Prato, Italy, outside of Florence. She grew up in the family textile business, Lanificio Fratelli Balli, which has been producing some of the finest wool in Italy for over 70 years and now has nearly two dozen subsidiary companies.
But while textiles may be her primary business, food is her passion. Monica founded TuscanBites, a world-renowned event planning and catering company that brings an Italian experience to celebrity attended events all over the world. Some of the ingredients and staffing are locally sourced, but she provides an Italian, Michelin Star chef and always brings her own olive oil – and wine.
