YPO membership is a lifetime experience. Here are some of the options open to members as they near graduation time.

Early Graduation
Members typically graduate between the ages of 50 and 55, depending on their specific needs. However, members above the age of 45 who have been a YPO member more than five years and no longer meet membership criteria, may choose to graduate early. This allows the member to leave YPO in good standing while becoming eligible for another opportunity – the World Presidents' Organization – which allows graduates to retain their valuable connections.

Graduation Years
During YPO's first 50 years, every member graduated from the organization at age 50, requiring them to leave behind their Chapter and Forum regardless of their life stage or current needs. YPO members can now customize their graduation dates and transition into graduate status when they are ready between the ages of 50 and 55. Tailored graduation dates facilitate each individual member's transition out of their Chapter and Forum, and into their next stage in leadership development.

YPO Graduates
Following graduation, YPO members are encouraged to join YPO’s official graduate organization, the World Presidents' Organization. WPO membership provides YPO graduates with opportunities for continued learning and lifelong peer networking at the Chapter, Regional and International levels. WPO members can continue to access YPO's network of young leaders as well as attend YPO events, giving both YPO and WPO members the opportunity to maintain and grow their network. WPO provides extended educational programs and services to meet the growing needs of each graduate member and their family. YPO graduates also have the option to stay connected to the organization and its members through the YPO Alumni program at no cost. Just as colleges and universities maintain ties with their alumni, the YPO Alumni program will continue to foster invaluable connections to a group of experienced and diverse leaders.
