Parent-Child Adventure in the Andes
June 2011
Quito, Ecuador

Three days in the breath-taking Andean foothills is the perfect spot for members to put their “real lives” on hold and reconnect with their child through outdoor adventure. This parent-child getaway promises quality time and unforgettable, meaningful fun.
Members, accompanied by a child age 8-13, will share in a collective sense of accomplishment as together they transcend challenges and fulfill aspirations.
- The focus is on self-awareness and personal growth through such adventures as a ropes course, a climbing wall and a challenge tower.
- The program lasts for only one long weekend, but 40 parent-child teams create a lifetime of memories.
- Families spend a day completing social services projects for the local community.
- Last year’s Parent-Child Adventures in the Andes scored a perfect 10 – the program is again managed by Outward Bound Ecuador.
“I was highly impressed with how well everything was organized and with the value that the event gave to my relationship with my son.”

“The bull fighting was unbelievable – what an extra surprise. And the food was excellent the entire time. Overall this was one of the best YPO events I have been to – really good take home value.”
