With members in more than 125 countries and 400 chapters, there is always an incredible YPO event happening somewhere in the world — 2014 was no exception. Take a look back at just a few of the “only-in-YPO” moments from the past year. For more photos from 2014, visit YPO’s Facebook page.
January: A group of 17 members from nine YPO and WPO chapters from the United Kingdom and Ireland gathered for the first time to discuss creating more opportunities for cross-chapter networking.
February: YPO’s annual events — the Global Leadership Conference and Global EDGE — were both held in Los Angeles, California, at the Nokia Theatre. Read highlights. The 2015 Global EDGE will be held in Melbourne.
March: The YPO London Chapter met with Malala Yousafzai, a 16-year-old education activist from Pakistan who survived an assassination attempt. She is the youngest-ever Nobel Peace Prize winner and shared her inspiring story with members and their families. View video of her presentation.
April: Fifty YPO members from Latin America and 85 from Europe gathered for YPO Madrid’s LATAM-Spain meeting to learn about maximizing business opportunities between countries that share a common language and culture.
May: During YPO’s Prague University, members gathered at Lobkowicz Palace, which is owned by 2014 Prague University Chair William Lobkowicz, a member of the YPO Czech and Slovak Chapter.
June: More than 100 people from 16 countries attended YPO’s annual Touch Israel Experience. For four days, attendees explored the rich history, turmoil and beauty of Israel with political, military, cultural and business leaders.
July: Eighty YPO families from 24 countries attended YPO’s African Family Safari Experience 2014.
August: Members of the YPO Washington, DC Chapter met with President of Rwanda Paul Kagame to discuss leadership and progress in Rwanda.
September: More than 100 members from 33 chapters and seven regions attended YPO’s Insights ASEAN Summit in Bangkok. Thailand, to discuss the latest business, economic and political issues affecting Southeast Asia. Next year, it will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
October: YPO Rome University welcomed members from 97 chapters meeting for exclusive networking, cultural and education opportunities. Next up? 2015 Morocco Presidents’ University.
November: Members of YPO’s Doing Business in Rwanda Network visited Rwanda to explore business and investment opportunities.
December: Almost 700 attendees gathered for the YPO South Asia Region’s sold-out summit, “Maximum Mumbai.”
